A cancelled flight gave me an extra day in Hong Kong and of course I used this bonus time to try one of the hotels Michelin restaurants that I had not had a chance to try. Tosca restaurant is located at the Lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong. On Sundays the serve an impressive Italian buffet and, of course, free flow champagne. All presented with the stunning 103rd floor view of Victoria Harbour in the background.
I generally don’t associate Italian food with fine dining. For me Italian food is more about the family style restaurant with laid back service. Both food and service at Tosca was everything I expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The made to order ravioli is to die for and I had an embarrassingly number of servings trying all the different sauces. None of the ravioli I’ve had since this has come close the one at Tosca!
